Zaharia Geanina was really good sharing her knowledge, explaining clear and showing a lot of patience while providing instruction. I will definitely recommend her classes.
Very informative!
Geanina Zaharia
I'm a Romanian artist who loves creation, imagination, colors, peace, and beauty in art. I have studied different techniques of arts throughout years such as illustrations, portraits, art compositions, traditional techniques (pencil, ink, painting), digital techniques (2D illustration, graphic design), and also 3d modeling and animation in Autodesk Maya for my art degree. Now I'm trying to find my own path and create something beautiful using all information I learned these years!
My focus is at the moment to graphite pencil portrait drawings and realism, this is what I did in the last two years and still working in this area.

Geanina Zaharia is available for private bookings

The Grape Hyacinth is the latest in a series of digital paintings celebrating the beginning of Spring! The Grape Hyacinth is considered a weed by some, but this artist considers it a small thing of joy. Bring out the sun, the warmer weather, and some peaceful afternoons in the garden.

Title or Location: Ready to Soar
I was engrossed in an abstract experiment with palette knife and watercolor. Through the window where I often paint I noticed birds carrying nesting materials.....I looked back at my work and the silhouette of a bird appeared. I decided to go with it. It's time for nesting: It's time for flying ...or soaring.

Title or Location: Adorned with Beauty
I've always felt a need to make what I paint look "real." During Lent of 2020, I decided that each of the 40 days, I would take a discarded painting from my "canvas graveyard" and resurrect it.Forty paintings in forty days taught me to work on previous textures with a much looser style.Adorned with Beauty is one of the paintings in a series that taught me creative freedom.

Title or Location: Panther
The panther symbolizes courage, valor and strength! In the picture, in the eyes of this incredible animal you can see yellow-blue reflections that reflect the flag of my native country of Ukraine, which is now going through difficult times, but does not give up and continues to valiantly fight for its freedom just like a brave panther.

An experiment using soft pastels on stretched canvas. The texture of the canvas lent itself to the pastels quite well. The image is based on a photo taken by a friend visiting Venice, Italy. By using more vibrant colors than the original, I believe it became more magical.

After taking up mandala painting in my late 60's during lockdown I decided to experiment using fabric scraps withing the design. This is the result of my first try. I am going to expand on this idea in the near future once I obtain more fabric scraps.

Title or Location: New beginnings
I'm new to oils and painting, I would say my style would be fine art and surrealism, no rules and I can escape, experiment and have fun. I painted this scene as I'd came across a beautiful photo of calla Lilly valley in California, I use the idea but made it my ownwith the colours and changed parts of it, I like the perspective and the enchanting mysterious vibe it gave. Returned to art almost a year ago, still finding my way, but determined, excited and fully motivated to reach my potential,

I was at The Starfish Restaurant when I captured this view on a cold day in Bradenton Florida from the dock behind the restaurant. I was fascinated by the light coming from one of the boats and the gas pump. The photograph helped me to produce this oil painting when I got home in Ohio.
