Architectural photography can be a great way of exploring and documenting a city, whether it's your home or on holiday. Its about capturing not only the design and accurate representation of a building, but to have the shots be aesthetically pleasing to the viewer's eye. An architectural photographer makes pictures, not takes pictures.

In this session, we will be covering how to better understand Architecture photography and we'll be looking at ways to take some impressive shots and the camera settings to use.

I'm a Chicago-based artist and designer. Even with experience in freelancing illustrations and graphic design, I always look forward to making art. I prefer digital illustration, but I'm more than experienced in various avenues of traditional art; drawing, painting, sculpture, etc. I'm always eager to learn more and I hope to share the desire to improve!
Geanina Zaharia
I'm a Romanian artist who loves creation, imagination, colors, peace, and beauty in art. I have studied different techniques of arts throughout years such as illustrations, portraits, art compositions, traditional techniques (pencil, ink, painting), digital techniques (2D illustration, graphic design), and also 3d modeling and animation in Autodesk Maya for my art degree. Now I'm trying to find my own path and create something beautiful using all information I learned these years!
My focus is at the moment to graphite pencil portrait drawings and realism, this is what I did in the last two years and still working in this area.

Geanina Zaharia is available for private bookings

Title or Location: Roses in a Green Vase
Life is a rose garden. Our task is to plant, nurture new growth, prune, and weed out the unnecessary. Art- making for me is a parallel process to open-hearted living. Painted in my sunny studio, this image of red roses in a green vase reveals layers of past and present. In the image, I hoped to urgently focus, to capture the beautiful energy of this moment, in real life, which won't last forever.

Title or Location: Tobias Santelmann
The artwork I choose is a graphite pencil portrait of norwegian actor Tobias Santelmann who played in the historical fiction series The Last Kingdom. I like to experiment with human faces in my art. Every detail as eyes, nose, lips or texture of hair tell a story of the character. I used graphite pencils for my drawing -black and white shadows which allows me to feel better the realism behind the picture. Is very nice to play with the gray tones and recreate a face and a expression. I have alw

Title or Location: Florida's Sandhill Crane
In nature, I wait patiently for just the right moment, one that is different but unique to my subject. It?s those unusual positions during grooming, mating ritual, breeding display, or just being silly. I strive to capture the moment that others miss, don?t see or notice. I?ll then use my photography as reference to create, produce and share an art piece that allows others a glimpse into that secret world of lines, colors and details that I see. This Sandhill Crane fit that bill perfectly. Title or Location: Winter snow
As we had the arrival of snow this week I thought it would be perfect to create a nice winter scene, this one came out of my mind rather than a reference photo, so it?s of no particular place other than some music, a paintbrush and a blank canvas. I actually only learnt to paint during lockdown so it?s always really cool when I see the finished product and it looks pretty good.
